Re: Its quiet, lets stir those little grey cells

You could change the time line so that you missed the dog, however, around the corner a deer that you would have never seen in the original timeline, could knock you straight off your bike.

You're better being lucky! :?

Introduction to Green Lanes

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I'm not sure where to post. Harvey and I are trialling a new venture to guide folk on rides out, on road, off-road or a combination of both. We're aiming this for people who are either new to riding, aren’t yet confident planning routes or for those who just ...

Re: Campsites in Spain?

I went to a campsite whilst cycling in Spain, doing the Camino some years ago. Arrived at a sunburnt field and thought, 'this doesn't bode well'. Had a look at the facilities block, I would have happily slept on the floor of the toilets. Absolutely pristine, far cleaner than my home and certainly be...

Re: An Evening Ride on the TET

Nice vid.

It won't help with the running up and down, but you can use your Apple Watch as a remote control for your iPhone's camera, if you have one.

Not sure at what distance it works as I think it's BlueTooth (not sure).

Re: Quiet stove

I'm another Trangia user Cooked for 4 people regularly on 2 of the small ones with meths burner. The meths burner is silent and extremely controllable once you get the hang of the simmer ring. The larger one would probably be more suitable, I have one of each and use meths with the small one and the...

Re: Solo rider emergency help spot 3 alternative?

Apple watch has it built in.

Detects a fall or sudden stop and then no movement and calls the emergency services with your location.

Switched off as standard. You also get the chance to cancel the call before it gets made.

Re: Wasdale Head L/District, (Stunning Place)

Mate, that's not single track, that's what we on earth call the road to Wasdale Head. There's a hotel and campsite and a shop at the end of it.

Glad you enjoyed it and everything, but it is a road, you know, like other roads.
