Re: Dual compound adventure tyres?
Thanks for any input. I guess the Motorrad report I quote here: http://www.adventurebikerider.com/forum/9-the-pub/239761-tyre-reviews.html#239858 might give some pointers to relative tyre wear, though I don't think they'll do a few thousand kilometers up and down the motorways. And to be fair, not ...

Re: Tyre reviews
It would seem that Motorrad were reading my mind as in the 06/2013 issue there's a test:

No mention of wear rates though

Re: Tyre reviews
I'd just ask on here and ADVrider, saying what kind of bike you ride and the type of riding you do. FWIW I like the Mefo Super Explorer as a good all-round (groan) tyre. But that's on a KTM 950. No idea what it would be like on a BM or a Triumph. Don't look at this thread on ADVrider, as I thought ...

Re: Tyre reviews
And they'd have to have "facts" as well, not just a press release and its pictures to create an article

Tyre reviews
Looking around the internet I can't find any of the decent Motorrad style reviews that include the latest crop of "adventure" tyres eg Anakee 3, Tourance Next etc, etc. Impressed with the depth of the review they did a couple of years ago doing about 4000km, swapping riders every 100km. He...

Re: Compact camera
I've got a Canon G12, but like to have a polarising filter on it for the days the sun comes out, so with the adapter fitted and in a bag it's no smaller than the Panasonic FZ62 in a case and polarising filter fitted. Of course I can take the adapter of the G12, but it's still not a pocket camera, un...

Re: Croatia July 2013
I expect the coast road will be very busy with hordes of caravans and campervans, so will be challenging making progress. Inland Croatia including the Plitvice Lakes is pretty, but the lakes can also get very busy. Last year we visited Split and Zadar, both very nice places. We're hoping to go down ...

Re: anakee 2's discontinued
I had them on my Gladius and wasn't that impressed, especially with regards to squaring off and mileage acheived on them.gazxt1200z wrote:if mine go the same way iv'e learnt enough already that pure road tyres are the way for me it's like having a new bike so next set will be dunlop qualifiers.
