Yes, it's had a recall as the rear reflector doesn't have the required luminesence :o
My wifes has had the recall too, not bothered getting it sorted yet as it's a 3 hour round trip.

Re: roadbook creator, which one?

I've done a few of the rallymoto events, good fun and while you don't need to go fast you can't hang around too much either. I've been wondering about doing a fun event or two but I didn't want to fall foul of insurance etc so I've not bothered. Maybe a group of friends can get away with taking turn...

Re: Martian ADV

Now you can follow the rover ! https://www.facebook.com/NASAPersevere/ I like the intro on the left. "Hobbies include photography, collecting rocks and off-roading". That first pic of the landing site is from a small checking camera. Once it all gets booted up, the photos of its explorati...

Re: Aftermarket LED and HIDs now not allowed?

I think this is just a rewording of the rules brought in a few years ago.
You can't fit LED or HID bulbs into halogen fittings, I think you can still fit approved LED light fittings.
I'm sure someone how really knows will be along shortly to correct us though 😀

Re: Using washers under nuts

You'd think so wouldn't you but the flanged nut spreads the load much better and doesn't distort like a washer does, the proof is in the pudding and I see far less damage from a flanged nut than a washer on regularly removed nuts. A classic is the rear wheel nut on an Aluminium swinging arm, I bough...

Re: Using washers under nuts

and indeed throwing away the torque wrench altogether and buying huge calipers to actualy measure the the bolt stretch!! The manual for our old Leyland buses gives a measurement for bolt stretch instead of a torque or angle (big end cap bolts) I much prefer the flanged bolts and nuts, they dont mak...

Not much, really. I'm perfect already. I never crash, I never fall off, and I never get stuck.
Yes I've watched you "never" falling off Dave :D

Re: T700 v KTM 950 Adv

I never thought of my 950 as a design classic, it was as ugly the day I sold it as when I bought it.
While the T7 isn't pretty it's better looking in the metal than the 950/990.
As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😋

Re: T700 v KTM 950 Adv

Had a 950 a few years ago and now me and my wife share a T7, I'll agree with most of Bobs assesment apart from the front suspension on the 950, I fitted harder front springs to mine which made the front end much better off road. If I was given a choice between a new 950 Adv & a T7 today I'd be r...
