Re: Changing rear suspension linkage on 690 Enduro R - how easy?

It's not too hard, the footrest plates need to come off to access the pin in the frame, and it can be a bit of a pain getting the bolts undone. Other than that I seem to remember it's just a case of undoing the bolts and pulling it off. Make sure the bearings are ok, I've had a repair kit on order s...

These days that's about the only reason I can think of to change the silencer.

Re: The Yamaha Tenere thread

I've been watching Pirate Racings youtube channel, he's been doing a bit of testing on T7 exhausts. It looks like there is no point in changing the tail pipe for performance gains as the best only got a tiny extra bit of power and no overall gain. I can't understand (or speak) German so I don't know...

Re: Husqvarna 701 thread

I have access to both JB, there's a fair bit of overlap. The 701 is good off tarmac, up to a point, usable for distance on the road. The T7 is better on road but still usable off. If I was going out trail riding it's the 701, if I just want a ride that may take in some trails I'll pinch my wifes T7,...

Re: roadbook creator, which one?

I've done a few of the rallymoto events, good fun and while you don't need to go fast you can't hang around too much either. I've been wondering about doing a fun event or two but I didn't want to fall foul of insurance etc so I've not bothered. Maybe a group of friends can get away with taking tur...

Re: Insurance Shocker!

Better than mine then, it went up a good amount and I'd sold 2 bikes so not only was it more but it was for 1 bike only. I did the usual and found it for a 1/3 of the price from Bennetts. Added recovery and the other bits and it was still under 1/2. Last year my business van insurance went down. Steve
