No regrets buying but regret selling my near-mint Gauloises RZV500R in 1994 for 2200 quid. Was badly neglected some time thereafter but it's still out there and being/been restored apparently:

Re: Are bikes going backwards?
Super-duper electronic self-adjusting suspension but no inbuilt, 'intelligent' chain oiler seems strange to me. As does paying extra for a centre stand and heated grips when you've just coughed 15K for a bike. Like spending 15K on a car then being charged extra for a bonnet stay or a heater. Even ai...

No pockets in shrouds fellas. dam right. Please tell FRANCO that? Thank god my mind dosnae work that way. Al :pinch: Don't thank God - it's marketing (wo)men who get you to spend lots of cash buying a new bike when the one you've got is perfectly adequate - thank them. But don't let us naysayers pu...

Thanks for clearing up that confusion.
What triggered that semi-unhinged, straw man type outburst? Psychotic episode or just too much caffeine?
Hope it was cathartic anyway.
Hugs.
Ken.

Re: Secret Santa
Yes it's that time of year. Only problem is the memo I've just received at work states that this year it will be mandatory and the amount we are to spend will be £25. This will be reimbursed in our wage, minus the tax! Now I'm struggling to think of items to buy members of my family let alone peopl...

image_2015-12-01.png Yes after a few cycles on this planet you come to notice that there's never any problem accessing the money to go to war...even when as a country you're being told that austerity is necessary. Ordnance - the perfect consumer good. Extremely expensive and strictly single-use. Pe...

....after a new winter sleeping bag but I don't want a mummy type, to claustrophobic as I suffer occasional panic attics. Lots of carp fishing bags out there, anyone use em? I realise there heavy and bulky but many of them claim to be 4-5 season and as Mrs tree doesn't do camping carrying one shoul...

Whilst I agree better to have the savings than not if you're on the lookout for something, I can't help but feel that this is just another way of encouraging people to get further into debt. It worries me the level of debt that UK people appear to think - or should I say more accurately have been t...

Re: Using Kreiga R30 backpack as my only luggage ?
No one can really give you an answer which has any real relevance Paul because nobody else has your body. However a bit of rationality (what we used to use before we consulted The Internet for all answers) would suggest that if it's OK on a day ride one day, it'll be OK for a day ride the next day t...
