Re: Go go power rangers
I don't think anybody is mocking anybody for wearing decent bike gear...i like to laugh at people who turn a Sunday ride out into a fashion parade....with the added opportunity to look at the size of their wallet. Mike Mockery is a form of bullying is it not..? As is inverted snobbery. Maybe then y...

Re: Versys 650 or V Strom 650
Ridden both and own a Mk.3 650 Versys. The only person who would want a VStrom over a Versys for road use is a person who's never ridden the Versys IMO. Proper 160/120 road tyres, better brakes, much livelier engine which makes the VStrom appear flabby and lifeless (TT racers use nothing other than ...

Re: Old chestnut, new crop - Bike Insurance renewal gone up £116, 50% on last year!
Just use confused.com and comparethemarket.com, see what's best, then move. I don't think I've ever stayed with an insurer for two consecutive years, they rely on people's inertia in order to extract profits but it's so easy and quick to use comparison websites and save a bundle of cash. Same goes f...

Yes too late for the BoB of course unfortunately and i don't think it allowed sustained inverted flight - not a problem during combat, but certainly a problem for aerobatics.threepot wrote:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Sh ... 7s_orifice

Re: The spitfire made its maiden flight 70 yrs ago today
Probably the greatest Spit pilot ever? This guy 'barrel rolled' a Lancaster!! :P https://youtu.be/nCmzYccyBYM Interesting there that you can see/hear one of the problems the Spitfire faced versus the German fighters - you can here the engine cutting when he's inverted due to it being carburated rat...

Re: EU. In or out?
thats called playing by the game and most europeans know how to play, not just enforce a draconian rule book. By the way is that polish truck driver likely to be running for prime minister. Doesn't sound like Polish to me...more like Hungarian possibly. I did find Hollande's thinly-veiled threat ab...

A chance to test your anti-authoritarian, anti-establishment image and stance. Will you stand there like a little puppy and say 'yes sir sorry sir won't do it again sir'...or will you wheelie into the magistrates' court, snarl at the suits, flip them the bird and give a big 'up yours' as you stick i...

Re: Learning French when older - C'est Possible ?
So at the ripe old age of 44 I find myself nearly divorced and dating a woman I knew from the past who lives in France. She is half English half French and completely fluent in both, so no problems there. However, I spend a lot of time in France and therefore decided it might be a good idea to lear...
