Re: 2011 Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX
Hi Nomad, I'd be interested to know where your nearest dealer is and if he is any good.

Re: What makes an Overlander
I've travelled overland from the UK to South Africa, I've toured Europe many times, I've toured a bit in California, I go trail riding most days sometimes carrying my camping kit so I suppose that is adventure riding and I ride my classic bikes (BSA & Moto Guzzi) when I can and consider myself a...

Re: Off roading - help
Perhaps the ABR 'Rough Roads' group should take on the sort of TRF role but aimed at the 600cc plus adventure bikes.
I personally think everyone looses some enjoyment when the bikes are mixed because a challenging lane on a 1200GS is a doddle on a KTM exc.

Re: Off roading - help
The GS is only really suitable for light off-roading. Make sure where you ride is legal and ideally go with someone who has been there before. TRF is good but their rides will be aimed at smaller bikes and not at all suitable for a GS but you may well find someone at your local TRF meets who has a G...

Does your wife know that you've just royally pissed on yours and her chips? No, rarely drink these days and never have except in a social enviroment. Yes completel...

Or expensive through the tunnel. Great scenery & trails thoughdash wrote: Good to hear there's likely to be a bit less road work this year. Even on the Tenere I got a bit bored of racing back and forth across that pass every day.

Re: Who is going to the HUMM ???
Great photos. The C90s were hopped up a bit and very well prepared. Last years had a bit too much road in it for the small bikes but it won't be like that this year as the hotel/control centre is right next to the start of the trails. You can do it on pretty much anything if it is dry which it has b...

Re: Who is going to the HUMM ???
They've now cancelled the 2nd week. I think the main hotel is full so they tried to split it in two to give the hotel more business but it seems there weren't enough takers for the 2nd one. They are now offering another hotel (or camping).

Re: Who is going to the HUMM ???
Hope to be going to. Depends on work.
For those who don't know about the HUMM look here http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/humm/
If you like a bit of gentle off roading in a great place it's the best fun you can have on your bike

Re: French green lane help
I posted the above about legality on the BCFr forum some time back. Exploring new areas is quite difficult and frustrating if you only have a limited time window and you will spend quite a lot of time turning round. If you have the IGN bleu maps for the area you want to ride Google Earth can be quit...
