just make sure bolts are correct length and they are not bottoming out in the fitting,

while travelling in spain last year on my gs800 it cut out several times in a 1 km stretch of road,it was very hot and i was low on petrol (no low fuel light)managed to get into a fuel station filled the bike up had a brew and on we went,from then on i filled up at regular intervals to keep the tank...

I think it tricks the ecu into thinking that it is cooler, so the ecu gives a little more fuel,i have not tried one,if you need more power or smoother running maybe a power commander and rolling road tune up,should be somebody on this forum who has tried one of these, or you could say bugger it,and ...
