Don't know where you are based, but the most important thing is to relax. I guess you will not want to sit on the motorway for long periods on that bike. We do have a Raf base in NI, aldergrove and numerous defunct ones.
Getting a photo of a military base is a crime under the official secret act I think.
I think it is a great idea though, it could end up with you in maghaberry here though.

Had a long weekend on Achill in June, got the best weather ever and road some bog roads. They were so dry and dusty.

The Mournes are pretty, and worth a trip through, great walks in Tollymore forest park and Castlewellan forest park. Both great for dogs, we have two.
