Re: Feeling Drained and I don't know why...

If there is no drain from the battery then the only thing that can be faulty is the battery itself...... What bike is it? On my wife's BMW the CANBUS keeps the Aux Socket powered up for a period of time after the ignition is switched off if the SatNav (for example) is still connected to it, could yo...

Re: Feeling Drained and I don't know why...

If you've got a meter, and you manage to get a battery with some charge in it, set it to DC current, remove the battery positive lead and connect the meter in series between the battery and the lead. If there is no 'strange' load you should get zero current, check this by turning the ignition on an...

Re: Log shed kits

I bought a cabin from these guys about 18 months ago. https://www.tuin.co.uk/Log-Cabins.html Arrived as a kit on a truck from Europe, really easy to build and great information on what is needed re base etc on the site. Two of us built it in a couple of days onto a prepared base, took a couple more ...

Re: Solar battery charger.

It's the same as this . No electricity in my garage. It's a mile from my house. I'll keep running it for 10 minutes or so once or twice a week. I'd take the battery off and keep it on a trickle charge at home but I have a tracker fitted that needs voltage to it. Might be this that's gradually drain...

Re: Solar battery charger.

In winter, in the UK, you'd expect to get about 10% of rated output from a solar cell, assuming it's correctly aligned, over an average week. When you say you're getting 3-4 volts is that when it's connected to the battery or when it's just sitting on the bench? Basic solar cell gives about 0.6V, mu...

Re: Any advice on physio

Only advice I can give is to keep pushing the limits of movement and not worry as much about absolute strength. Scar tissue and shrinkage in tissues quickly limits the range of movement you have. I broke my wrist skiing in Canada and had to have it rebroken and realigned back in the UK a few weeks l...

Re: Winter gloves or something to help

Handguards (big ones), or anything to keep the wind off. Heated grips keep the palm of my hands warm but unless you can ride with your fingers permanently wrapped around the grips and not covering the brake/clutch they will get cool. Heated gloves keep the back of your hands warm and I find them bet...
