Re: good riddance

I was almost blown up by an IRA bomb in London in the early 70s. I have no sympathy for terrorism...but equally if you look at how Northern Ireland was in those days you can understand why some people took it up. The most important thing about McGuinness was that in the end, he took a risk for peace...

Re: Adventure spec bashplate ktm 990 adv

I'd be interested to hear what you think of the bike once you've formed an opinion of it. Especially vs the BMW 800 and Tenere. My biggest problem is that it's the kind of bike that you feel you have wasted its time if you ride it less than 100 miles. Jumping on it to go to the post office or whatev...

Re: Adventure spec bashplate ktm 990 adv

The plate comes in two parts. Re: Adventure spec bashplate ktm 990 adv

That's the same as the GiT one that I've got. It's a mixed bag, TBH. Here's the negative: Anything you can squeeze into the front compartment will get wet and soaked in short order. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/950-adventure-cracked-case-at-the-sidestand-mount.659277/ It happens. It may not have happened to you yet. It may never happen to you. But I know if it happened to me, I'd be heartbroken at having wrecked the engine for the sake of something that costs less then...

I suspect that any claim will be made against her motor insurers...in which case we'll all end up paying.

Or if she's not insured, against MIB...in which case we all end up paying.

Re: Ktm 990 side stand relocator

On the Black Dog one, the plate extends back to the outside of the centre-stand pivot bolt.
