Re: Honda XR650L - For Sale in U.K - VERY rare bike
First off.... Apologies for a snotty reply. When you're trying to sell a bike (Or anything for that matter), and the first reply is a smug reply regarding it's value from a GS rider, it does nothing to improve one's 'Social skills' When he try's to sell his old 1200GS (Which is probably worth more),...

Thank you so much for you opinion. I'll treasure it.
It's aimed at a small, specialist market. Those who travel globally off road. Probably not found on ABR to be honest.

Honda XR650L - For Sale in U.K - VERY rare bike
With massive regret I'm putting up for sale my much loved and painfully restored XR650L. I have to put money into my new business and selling off my fleet of bikes is the only way I can do it.. So.... It's a 1994 imported from the USA the same year. I've put an engine out of a newer NX650 Dominator ...

It does... But only with genuine Garmin maps. At least that's the case on mine.

Re: My DRZ400s - work is now complete
Looks nice..
Those racks seem VERY beefy though. Almost like they were built to take Aluminium heavy boxes.
But they're the last boxes you'll want on a DRZ though. They don't have the power or the subframe to handle them.
Off anywhere nice ?

Re: valve clearance checks ..why necessary on a time basis rather than just mileage ?
It's mileage..... Time won't effect your valve clearances at all.
Service books give average mileages to be safe. You will find than valve clearances very rarely need adjusting but they should still be checked.

Re: anyone made a rack to go on topbox lid otherwise any recommendations?
Go to B&Q or a kitchen place and buy two long cupboard door handles. Drill four holes in your top box and screw them on. Been working for lots of people for many years before AD biking got popular and people started thinking they needed to pay £300 for everything than can be done for a tenner. (...

Re: Dominator project.
Dommies are making a major comeback and their prices are going up. Just like the Africa Twins. Hopefully people are finally realising the benefits of simple, reliable bikes with plenty of charactor instead of all these super expensive, over-technical, over electrical DULL modern bikes being churned ...

Re: £2050 for an 18 year old trail bike......
To be honest. It looks in excellent condition. If someone really wants a DR350 and doesn't want a rusty rat, it's not a bad price. Especially if you consider that a set of hard luggage for a GS costs the same and some people spend more on a two week holdiay in Spain. For a standard 'no bells and whi...
