Re: Thinking of swapping my DRZ400S for something a bit bigger

You'll find many forum members have/have had the Dakar 650 and of those who have got rid of them there will be a fair few who wished they'd held on to them, so a good option. However they are achieving good prices these days and getting...

Re: Insurance companies - bar stewards!

I was about to start a thread on insurance and saw this one. A Law unto themselves. All insurance these days seem to be sold on the premise that the cover payment is profit ! Don't dare claim as that just results in a round of contacting various companies that are all in it in together to ensure you...

Re: Zeebrugge ferries.

I find the Newcastle service is very good and if travelling out of season is quite competitive on price. Riding down through the borders and then an afternoon sailing time is a nice way to start an adventure. Arriving in the morning a good days ride over the excellent Dutch roads gets you well on yo...

Re: In Catalonia at this time as a Scotsman .

Not quite as big an event but yesterday whilst on the streets of Stirling with the YES campaign and Nicola Sturgeon we had a little group of flag waving Catalonians there having a great time. Saltaire in one hand and Catalonian flag in the other.

Re: Scottish referendum (this is the PUB !! )

Can we give Wales and Ireland a similar vote in the future? I'm a great believer in independence for anybody that wants it. Then we can all choose where we want to live and no more hassle. It's called emigration. Get rid of the monarchy and make England a republic. Introduce ID cards to stop those ...
