With your experience you should already understand the compromise of any bikes with weight/off road /off road ability/size /weight etc
Tranny, versys, 800 tiger non xc, Beemer 650 singles or the 700 twin whatever they call it..

Me and a mate will be there, I'm on the 800xc and he's on a Fz8 but that won't stop him trying to get to the top! Arriving Sat night and got a cheapo hotel in Bardonecchia. Up bright n breezy Sunday as high as we can then scooting off to a mates campsite in Chamonix. Dover Calais thurs 9th then back...

Anybody on this place ever done a ride around the UK coast? It could be my next solo adventure. I've done LEJOG, rode around Scotland and in May rode around France on my todd so trying to think of my next solo adventure. Was wondering how long it would take and the approx. mileage with decent place...

Morning :)...replying from the deck of the Harwich to Holland ferry! Route is Holland, day in Amsterdam, up to Denmark, few days mountain biking, then hirtshals to the faroes...and onto Iceland. Thanks for the comments... I had 2 weeks off to get everyrhing sorted, last few days of cladding/wiring ...
