Re: Re: Re: CCM 450 v's AJP PR7 ?
I must have missed that advert. Where CCM stated that the bike was for everyone. Considering they can only produce 20 a month I doubt they would ever have claimed that. It was the strap line on the front page of the GP450 section on the CCM website. I can't remember exactly what it said as they've ...

Re: Not all XT's are Tenere's!
Would I have any of the XT series as a green lane/ trail bike?? Hell no to heavy and cheap components.
As a jack of all trades but master of none it's an ok bike for the one for all market. I would prob go for an R above a Z.

Re: Re: CCM 450 v's AJP PR7 ?
Most of the people on this forum cannot take more than 3 weeks off work so to go further than northern europe the CCM probably wont work for them Again depends what they are going to do with the bike. If it's 3 weeks touring round the tarmac roads of Europe, they'd be much better of with a 1200cc w...

Re: CCM 450 v's AJP PR7 ?
The main point for me is 30kg weight difference, ccm wins. The yamaha is a heavy engine and probably that's where most of the weight is gained. Touring on a smaller bike has a limited market because trying to do 300+ miles on the freeway in a day sucks. So you have to be in a position to be able to ...

Re: Sorry tyres again!
Do you want change for change sake or is there some performance aspect you're trying to improve. I.e better grip in a particlar circumstance, longer life, etc... remember improved aspect somewhere will generally compromise somewhere else.
