Re: KLX 250 ???

I owned a Kawasaki KLX300R and it was a very easy and forgiving bike to ride. It took a fair bit of modding to get legal for the road and of course was only kickstart. The KLX250 is a bike i often considered with better suspension than the Honda CRF250L,all the modern stuff like fuel injection, road ...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I loved my Harley Davidson MT350 and should never have sold it. It had looks only a mother could love(just like the Himalayan) It was overweight and underpowered(see previous comment) The Himalayan is actually heavier than the MT350 and even though it has 60cc more capacity it certainly has no more ...

Re: Best sat nav for green laning

I used to own the Garmin MAP60C which was a great unit for walking, cycling and motorcycling. I upgraded to the Garmin MAP 62 STC which has the City Navigator Europe and full UK O/S mapping. It took me ages to work out how to formulate and download routes and to install plug ins etc to allow the tran...

Re: Spain back on lock down list...

ok, here we go....devil’s advocate time. I’ll probably get flamed. Why would anyone have booked to go anywhere outside the UK so soon. It seemed obvious there was going to be problems so sit it out and see how things pan out first. Any govt has to react to the situation as quickly or as best it can...

Re: Spain back on lock down list...

I feel very sorry for those folks who conrorm to the guidence and act responsibly who yet again have to suffer for selfish people... But again the English and dare I say UK government's are wrong in their action... A simple mandatory covid 19 test in return to uk at airports or ports with stay at h...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

Greetings, Great to read all of your posts, especially as I had considered buying a Himalayan. The weight aspect, and to me heavy clutch, put me off the idea though. Toni, I hope you will not mind my making a safety point that barbecues and similar should not be used in an enclosed space such as a ...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

Made the decision that there is nothing else I want that would fulfil the job I have for it so I reinsured the Himmy. I've also replaced the steering head bearings+bottom seal and added foam to the seat so it's going to get some use. Decision made so I cut holes in my van and fitted windows, built ...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I believe the same calipers are fitted to many Indian built bikes like BMW310gs and the Ktm 390 which are suffering with piston corrosion too. Mines an early 2017 bike with 5k+ miles on it and so far is ok but I don't normally ride in conditions where salt has been used on the roads. I have just ha...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

Himalayan musings. The insurance renewal invitation signals the 1st anniversary of Himalayan ownership which for me is often the time to consider a change of bike. Last Friday I did a few errands on the Himmy and as I parked it back in the garage I brushed passed another bike which had just had the...

Re: Ktm 390 adv anyone had a go one one?

I had a one as a loan bike when my 790 went in for a service, my partner has a Himalayan, so some experience...definitely better than the Himalayan but not as good as the 790...to be expected. I found the motor to run out of puff on highway speeds, it seemed a tall bike too..a decent first bike or ...
