Re: Ktm 390 adventure

I've been enjoying mine on the trails a fair bit recently. Still on the TKC70s so a bit squirrly. But with SW Motech pegs and just rolling the bars forward she's working out pretty well. A blast on the road as well.

Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan - The Adventure Begins

I'd just stand back and take a breath. You bought the bike. You liked the bike. You've had problems with the bike. The problems are hopefully fixed. Ride it until your judgement clarifies. I love the Himalayan but as all the forums will tell you, you have to walk into it with your eyes open. There's...

Re: Bike shipping to the USA

How are prices doing these days? Have they dropped closer to pre Covid costs? Just after Covid they went through the roof; £5k or so return.

Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan - The Adventure Begins

I wouldn't worry about that exhaust. Looks a perfectly normal discolouring for the Himalayan. It'll go like that quickly but not get any worse. Just a bit of patina, especially the hand painted dobs of rust prevention on the rivets along the bottom side of the end can. I think they call it character.

Re: chinese are coming

From what I understand, it does indeed use that engine Richard, same as was in the Grandpasso. Looks pretty good too. Very Africa Twin esque.

Re: chinese are coming

Yeah I've had the Moto Morini X-Cape 5000 miles now. I quite like it. The specsheet's not overly impressive but it rides well - nice suspension - and it's got a big bike feel without being too intimidating. It feels pretty well bolted together so i think it should last. Shame they weren't at Motorcy...

Re: KTM 390 Adventure thread. Reviews mods etc

Yeah I saw that vid. It's such an obvious flaw I'm amazed KTM let it out like that. It's clearly got no grounding as an off road machine in the western market sense of the word where we stand up. For developing markets where they sit down much more then it'll make better sense. But it seems like a m...

Re: Himalayan vs KTM 390 Adventure vs 310 GS vs CRF 250 Rally

Ha, yeah I'm slowly building the fleet until I get the full pack of exotica! Might take me a while. I also have the fleet of posties for people to ride... https://www.nathanmillward.com/the-best-of-four And Phil, yeah I looked at moving the bikes around to different locations but to be honest it jus...

Thanks Snaf. Yes to be honest one of the surprise plus points is the chatting the riders do throughout the day about their thoughts on the bikes. Everyone has a different opinion about them all, that's for sure.

Himalayan vs KTM 390 Adventure vs 310 GS vs CRF 250 Rally

For anyone considering any of those four bikes I've used Covid and the bounce back loans to add them to my fleet down here in North Devon, the idea being that people can ride them back to back on a day's guided ride, taking in some gentle green lanes on route. I've got some dates coming up in the ne...
