Re: Bike fire

Looks like the old Varadero.

A couple of years ago at the RTTW a VFR blood bike went up in flames after the event after the rectifier caught fire. Lots of people trying to put the fire out but as soon as it reached the tank they could only stand back and watch.

Re: Are you happy with your Bike(s)?

My Varadero (2009) does me fine for the longer range trips. Though I find it a handful in the corners due to the weight and front end vagueness. The CX500EC (1983) hasn't been out from under the cover in over a year. It's not likely to be for some time as I don't have the time to finish it and the ...

Re: stinger use on motorcycles

Personally I have no problems with the use of stingers against motorbikes. I don’t say motorcyclists as the ones that will have stingers used against them would be running from the police as they are on stolen bikes, no licence, pissed or just plain dumb but unfortunately they tar us all with the sa...

Re: Are you happy with your Bike(s)?

KTM 1190 Adv S has been great, I love riding it wether I’m trundling along, touring or playing with the power rangers. I love my KTM's having had a 990SM before after a long run of Honda's, they get under your skin. It’s still a big lump so last year I bought a CX500 to convert into a scrambler just...

Re: ear plugs

My left ear was damaged in an explosion and the ear canal was distorted too so I struggled to get ear plugs that would in either ear. Howard Leight Quiets even though they look big would fit in my ears and were the of the disposables but after a couple of hours would become uncomfortable and the pai...

Re: ear plugs

I’ve had problems with my ears due to damage and I’ve struggled to get ear plugs to fit without casing discomfort. Tried various foam and silicone ones but in the end went for custom moulded with built in speakers. All day riding sent a problem any more and no ringing noises keeping me awake afterwa...

Re: Linked brake's

The brakes are tested independently so the tester would have no idea that the linked system wasn’t working.

Re: Motorcycle parking in London?

I can’t help you with the parking but can tell that you’ll Bat out of Hell. We went to Manchester to see it before it moved down to London. Clever stage layout and a story to fit the music of Meatloaf. Have a great night.

Re: PayPal security

You are not covered for goods and services or friends and family. Only if the item is via ebay hence with a paper trail. I found out the hard way. It’s not just eBay purchases that they cover. You do need a n offer and acceptance, these should be written so you can provide them to PayPal if you rai...
