Re: Ol' Panhead of the Nutcrushers ... !

Re: Thief at large at the Dragon!!!

Annoying thing is, me and another mate probably saw the culprit virtually in the act, but didn't realise it. My mate who lost his stuff returned back t...

Re: Linked thoughts - adventures too far

Re: Ferry to Spain

I think you'll find Brittany Ferries Santander - Portsmouth - Santander route operates year round. I came back in November last year, and have done several December trips there and back in recent years.

Best way to dry damp socks, especially when wild camping. A lot cheaper than buying a pair of sealskinz.

Re: Own up who broke it???

I was going to keep stum as I thought it might have been down to me. The wife's a bit of an IT expert, and she's been back in the UK for a few days, leaving me down here in France to my own devices. Picked her up from the airport yesterday evening, thought I'd cleared all the search history from the...

Re: Learning French when older - C'est Possible ?

Having spent a fair bit of time in France over the past 6 years or so, mainly over the winters, the big problem is falling straight into the ex pat English speaking community. Easily done and hard to avoid. Many are retire school masters, their subject normally being French. They will tell you that ...
