Cheers for that, there is one up my way for £1300, 55 plate with 21k though it says ot's only done 1300 miles in four years which kinda gets my alarm bells ringing.

I'd say it's worth the risk yes, it'll probably feel a bit soggy and possibly a bit like pogoing but most probably rideable.

The pedestrian is only clearly in view cause you know what happened. He/she the rider, would be concentrating on the filtering/checking the cars to see if anyone is going to cut across him. I agree, excessive filtering speed.

Relax, don't grip bars tightly, everything smooth, throttle, brakes, gear changes. There is more grip out there than you think, but you must be smooth.
