Re: Yamaha Tracer 700 - advice

I've got one, and if you lived in central Wales instead of central Scotland you'd be welcome to a spin on mine. Have had it for almost three years now and agree with all the reviews that it's a cracking bike with a great engine (but slightly naff suspension) etc. yet can't seem to quite gel with it ...

Re: covid dystopia

OK, a last word on this before I bugger off and leave you to it I realise that using a motorcycling based forum will contain stuff thats of no interest to you, so usually skim over it. As it happens the other blokes mechanical threads were always interesting and quite inspiring, and some of the 'spr...

Re: covid dystopia

Have you ever considered not using the internet in the early hours of the morning?? But if you insist, maybe find a forum that is actually interested in the shite you're churning out, as you look a bit top heavy in the amount of reactions to your own post here! I realise even this post is what you w...

Re: Are 'friends' electric?

Just become a convert and got a Trek Powerfly FS 5 after years of moaning about them - mainly due being old and unfit, but then going out with people older and unfitter than me who had one that kept scorching off up steep hills without me  Only been out a few times but seem to have accident...

Re: Thoughts on Airoh Commander Adventure Helmet?

I've had one for a few months now, and very happy with it I bought it to replace a tired feeling Shoei so a bit unfair, but it feels more 'right' and a nice quality feel with good positive visor mechanism and plush lining etc. The visor also big enough to give good peripheral vision. The vents are a...

Re: Tenere 700 wheels & tyres

I'd go with the find a suitable tyre advice (e.g.. MT21's) and just get used to the inevitable (but nothing that can't be worked around) compromises. I spent a fraction of what this exercise would cost you on Talon wheels with mooses for my CRF250X and spend way too much time wishing I'd used the ot...

Re: not a proper adventure bike

Maybe we all have a different idea of what an adventure is, so different ideas of what an adventure bike is? A kid up the road goes all over the UK for weeks at a time on a Chinese 125 scooter with a few bits crammed under the seat - but on paper that ain't no adventure bike I rode some TET in Portu...

Re: SURVEY

Would it be cynical to wonder if all they're doing with surveys like this is collecting the data to prove people interested in anything motorcycle related are a comparativly small a group, so don't justify any investment! If motorcyclists can't be bothered to keep the authorities informed they are ...

Re: Brittany Ferries - anyone know what's going on?

We had a ferry cancelled and Brittany Ferries were very helpful. They refunded the difference between the 2 ferry costs and paid us our fuel from Santander to Caen. We actually got more back than it cost us for the original crossing . We were polite and just asked. Out of interest what bikes were y...
