Re: ccm gp 450 happy day
The thing is that I can fix carbs. Generally once set up modern carbs require very little maintenance. Fuel injection is a magic mystery to me and if it is so simple why can't CCM get my bike to run right? Cheers Jak Jak, when EFI is set up correctly it's the same story but I agree carbs have some ...

Re: ccm gp 450 happy day
I was referring to the basic components; throttle bodies, lambda sensors and fuel pumps which, in my experience, are very reliable as individual parts.

Re: ccm gp 450 happy day
Have to agree with you Bob, fuel injection whilst necessary to meet emissions regulations seems an over complication. If instead of the Power commander CCM were offering a carb conversion, I'd be first in the queue. Cheers Jak Jak, really? I've been riding and spannering bikes since 1983 and have h...

Re: London Terror Attack
In the aftermath of these attacks, the media report investigations into where and how the terrorist was radicalised. Almost exclusively, these involve Islamic institutions such as local community groups, mosques but also prisons holding a disproportionate number of inmates from these areas. How can ...

Re: Middleweight twin adventure bike
when is the abr community (worldwide) going to realise that there is no real money in lightweight adv bikes and manufactures will not make them in the form they want because they can't sell enough I think most of us know that Mike, but it's nice to speculate! When I was in my early 20's (late 80's)...

Re: Middleweight twin adventure bike
Due to our testosterone-fuelled western bike market, the big money is in the 1200s. For the smaller stuff, there is the mass-produced option (F800GS, CB500X) but then you are in a price-driven market so the spec suffers. Light, cheap, strong...choose any two :) I'd like to see a 160kg ADV twin and I...

Re: ccm gp 450 happy day
How many crashed KTM 390s with undamaged engines would be available on an annual basis? From what I've heard it would make a good solid engine for a CCM style bike. It would indeed be a brilliant engine for a lightweight adventure bike. I don't understand why it has taken KTM so long. My wife had a...

Re: London Terror Attack
Yes, Ralph. I agree it must come from their community and from high up within, first.
As for the video, that was quite an education. Perhaps those in the US who have CCW licenses should watch this one. It would be more like 50ft and only if you were well trained.

Re: ccm gp 450 happy day
Sarge, those buying the 690 or 701 would need to throw more than a few quid at their bikes to get them specced with long range tanks, seat, fairing, luggage subframe etc. Just out of interest, what are the far better sub-60bhp packages that you refer to and, importantly for some, how much do they we...

Re: London Terror Attack
These attacks are, sadly, no longer a surprise. Even the government had been expecting this, or somethimg like it. Political correctness has prevented an open and honest debate about how cultural separation has provided a safe place for radicalisation. Yes, I am referring to Islamic areas/ghettos in...
