Very frustratig to find out that the pre-emptive replacement you did ultimately didn't resolve the issue. With adac, on the basis of the time of the repair and the cost they should repatriate the bike for you at no cost. AA Europe/ADAC were good to be fair. And said they would recover the bike back...

Before anyone jumps up and says this is a major week point of the 690 I already now! And was the reason last year I changed the old rocker arms out for new current uprated arms! well still none the wiser, never got to a KTM dealer as they refused to take it that far. But ended up at a multibike dealership. Owner very helpful and speaks good english. One of there mechanics is ex KTM and seems to no the bike. But he hit a brick wall as he didnt have his thin socket to get spa...

Got recovered and its looking more terminal, will not turn over on starter pack and sounds like the engine is hydro locked if anything. The wife who was following says there was no smoke or any signs of the bike dying. So more confused by this now. When bike died it didn't sound like anything seriou...

I'm in Sulgen just left Black Forest. Waiting for ADAC now but trying to get a heads up before I get to the bike somewhere. Going try get it to a local dealer.

KTM-690R - Broken Down In Germany
Hi Guys, Beroken down in Germany...... Looking for some advice... Bike just completely died.... no engine management light, warning lights etc.... Ignition light comes on, slow turn over but wont start. Bumping also will not start the engine. This bike has been running smooth until this sudden death...
