Re: E10 carbon soot on silencer

Tesco Haverfordwest and Cardigan both have E5, my old Honda Vf1000 seems to run very well on it......so far.

Re: Is this the future of UK trail biking?

Having had ebikes for a few years now the biggest pain is the chain, especially on a mid drive. Proper mudguards help reduce the muck (and reduce trail cred...do I care??) but the poor chains do take a hit. Using ebike spec chains does help (be very aware of fakes on ebay DAMHIK) Hopefully one of th...

Re: Is this the future of UK trail biking?

Thanks for starting this tread Chris, hopefully it may inspire more to ebike. Everyone I know who has an ebike says they ride more both on and off road and as a result are a bit fitter too. Re tubless, I've also converted the mtb's to this and have had no punctures for a few thousand miles with eith...

Re: Is this the future of UK trail biking?

Another factor is tyres. We all know big knobs suck power and wear like crazy on the road and emtb's are no different. For mixed riding ie roads and bridal ways I use something with a continuous solid ring of rubber like a Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB on the rear https://www.schwalbe.com/en/tour-reade...

Re: Is this the future of UK trail biking?

Range, the question everyone always asks. I think half the problem is changing ones expectations regarding speed and distance. All my bikes have the same size battery(625wh) but each have a different range. These days even bigger batteries are common. The converted hybrid has the best as it's used m...

Re: Is this the future of UK trail biking?

Is this the future of UK trail biking?..... it may well be, but it is an awful lot of fun. I first got into ebikes with a Bafang conversion kit on an old '90 mtb, then quickly progressed to a converted full suspension bike, added a converted hybrid as well to the stable and now have a full fat endur...

Re: Norway Tips

Thanks for all the replies guys, some great info to digest there. I'm not into long high speed days anymore so planning to just take my time etc Will send you a pm qcnr. It will be a solo trip, so it seems camping is the cheaper option with the "huts" next in line. Has anyone used the ferr...

Norway Tips

I'm planning on going to Norway mid May for 3 weeks doing camping and cabins etc. Any tips on do's and don'ts and what to see would be much appreciated.
I currently know speed limits are low, fines are high, weather can be iffy, it's expensive but great scenery.....

Cheers
