Re: Lomo Panniers.
So whats in Italy Daryl?--touristy stuff?--not sure about trails?--my experience has been that they don't do camping, except on the coast. I used the Ortleibs for my trip to the Dordogne this year--and they give you a soft landing too if you tipple over!--they do what they say on the tin--and parti...

Re: Garmin Montana Basecamp help
It's not pedantic, Daryl , you're right - but it's not a birds eye overlay which you can use for mapping purposes. does that make sense? I think I see where you're coming from. It's not a map per-se, just a georeferenced image of the users choosing, which could be of a map, just without any routing...

Re: Garmin Montana Basecamp help
But a KMZ file is not an overlay nor will it lead to one. Sorry to be a pedant Mike, but according to wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyhole_Markup_Language) it can. Re: Lomo Panniers.
Interesting. I've been using a pair of these: http://lomo.co.uk/acatalog/40L-Motorbike-Dry-Bag-2.jpg Strapped to the side of the bike for a few years now. Not as convenient as bike specific stuff but at £14 each I won't complain. I suspect they wouldn't fair too well in a high speed slide along the ...

Re: Garmin Montana Basecamp help
Gpx Are garmin file type names, kml and z are google file names.... You need to convert the file to garmin gpx and then open as track even if its originally a route lol.... I think this: ttps://www.garmin.com/us/products/onthetrail/custommaps is what Cone is trying to do. Create a custom map overla...

Re: Garmin Montana Basecamp help
What format were the images before you imported them into Basecamp?
Maybe it means that the image files embedded in the KMZ need to be jpegs?
Just a guess.
