Check for poorly routed or snagging cables/hoses from the handlebars around the steering stem.

Tip - don't use soap as a lube. Will rot aluminium wheels double quick time due to the high salt content.
Nip into you local chemist and get a handy tube of KY jelly.

What about the HP2? Entered into the German national enduro championships. Didn't win but acquitted itself quite well.

My biggest fear is not enjoying every single mile.

Not happened yet, fortunately.
