Not a fan of Paddy apart from when he was on Phoenix Nights. The first half was interesting then I got bored with it but fingers crossed it improves as its the same old patter and subjects.

Re: In search of a good night sleep
Tried Expeds, Thermarest,, Cots and nearly everything else raning from £30 to £250 and the best for me is a £36 Coleman DuraRest Single . Downside is you need a pump but a £5 one that plugs into the cig lighter works a treat. Used it for a long trip and had a comfortable good nights sleep every night

Brilliant bit of kit had mine for years. Might as well get the 10L one as it folds up to the size of the filler and takes min room.

Re: Interesting experience at Roy Pidcocks Derbyshire today.
Even if it wasnt listed as a service action it should be done out of courtesy and the bike should be safe and roadworthy when it leaves the dealer. Thats disappointing Im sure BMW Uk would be well impressed with that.

Re: 400 or 250
I had the 250 and found it was very revvy and the engine was working hard for what I wanted it for. I now have a 440 and the torque is so much better so when I mess up it simply plugs away and keeps going. Funnily enough I find the 440 much more usable as its not so twitchy on the throttle. The 400 ...

Re: Lusting husky
While VAT is 20% of the purchase price, taking the VAT off the total price inc VAT is not a 20% discount off the total price because 20% of the price inc VAT is more than 20 % of the price before VAT. Correct but its close to 20% and with some haggling its possible to get the 20%. https://www.rusts...
