I always thought an R1100S with a pair of rethals would make a nice quirky bike.
Very high reliability and build quality, you can do all your own servicing and minimal deprieciation (keep it long enough and the value will start to increase ).
GLW your decision

Re: itv4 the motorbike show
It's nice to see a tv show about bikes and I quite enjoyed it. However it felt (to me) as though it was aimed at either novices or people with little knowledge about bikes. I also dislike the 're-cap' after every advert brake that is de rigeuer nowadays. Still as I said enjoyable and I will contiue ...

Re: My BMW F800GS
Thanks for that just the info I was looking for.
Test riding one in a couple of weeks with a mate.
Same HP as the 1150 - a lot less weight. He's got 1150 ADV I know he's gonna change
Maybe bump into you at the Stella (not literally!)

Re: Recommend me a travel towel....,..
I tried a travel towel (can't remember the make but not cheap) but went back to my cheap beach towel.
It didn't pack down any smaller, didn't dry me as well and took longer to dry off afterwards!
I like the yesterday t-shirt suggestion

Re: Stella alpina 2013
Hi Andy That sounds great. I'm not very experienced off road, just green lanes and easy, dry trails but I think I may have done Parpaplion - is it the one near Barconolette (?). I will plan to get to Bokki on Friday - have you booked or is it just turn up? I will let you know when I've finalised det...

Re: Stella alpina 2013
Hi I'm looking at going to the Stella this year - may be on my own as wife is working. I'll be camping at Bokki but looking to meet up with anyone who knows a few other easyish trails to do over the weekend as it's not an area I know well. Looking at getting there Saturday and leaving Monday/Tues bu...
