If you were happy with the R and S then I suspect the RS will be the perfect compromise. The great thing about the RS is that they’re not as popular as the GS so second hand prices are much lower.
I say go for it and enjoy your adventures

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.
Just to throw this into the mix :? For the same price a Kawasaki verseys 300x can be bought. I’d be interested to try them back to back as an overland bike. The Verseys is getting good reviews in the US and with a 19” front wheel reports are that off road performance is better than the sum of its pa...

Re: 200,000 km on my GS 12
‘A’ says a big hello back. As sad as it was to see the 1100 go (no space to keep it) I must say I really like the TC. Smoother, feels lighter off road and that bit of extra power means you don’t have to think when overtaking fully loaded or in a tight spot. A now rides a 1200 LC and loves it - even ...

Re: 200,000 km on my GS 12
Hi Paul Great to hear the 1200 is still going strong. I sold the 1100 I had in Bulgaria this time last year - it had a 170K miles on the clock (I owned it for nearly 20 years) it was still going but needed a few jobs doing and we had an Easter trip to Morocco booked so I bought a 1200 TC. I was sad ...

Re: Motorcycle instructor
Mate of mine was an instructor - taught advanced level as well as normal test. He worked for a large school that had a great set up. There were only 2 full time instructors as the pay was so bad, all the others were firemen, coppers etc... He looked into starting his own school but there’s a high pe...

Re: Do-it-all (adv) tyres
I use K60s for their longevity - 10K miles out of my last rear. As you say the Motoz get great reviews. They look to have a similar treat pattern to the K60s but the makers claim to use a very high quality rubber compound which enhances grip while maintaining a similar life span - user reviews seem ...

That looks really nice Minky. It’s strange that the rally is taller than the L but according to cycle ergonomics the knee and hip angles are greater on the L !

Re: Street Triple OR Tiger 800 XR
As well as a standard test ride wheel it around and pop it on the centre stand - don’t forget you’ll have the added weight of luggage when you go touring.
Good luck with your decision
