Re: I'm looking for a tank bag for F800GS... Are Wolfman any good?
I have the Wolfman Expedition tank bag that I use on the F800GS and other bikes. While it looks to be made from quality materials and it hasn't fallen apart, I wouldn't recommend this bag as it's a faff to get into it (drawstring and clips), isn't waterproof per the original claim and was expensive ...

Re: Moroc Green card
If sailing into Tangier Med, there is an insurance office just after customs where you can purchase 7 days or 30 days insurance. No hassles at all, but the office shuts at 7pm. Think I paid around 80 euros for 30 days. +1 to this, except that I can't remember how much I paid for 3 months insurance....

Re: Head in the Shed article by Jon Thorne-Taylor and Skipper the dog!
A mates brother carries his dog on the back in place of the top box on his 1200GS. The bag is a dog specific carrying bag, but not necessarily for bicycles/motorcycles. It looked sturdy for a carry bag, but not robust and would still be considered soft luggage. I would say similar to this one Dog Ba...

Re: Mountain bike (actually scooter) brakes - is hysdraulic worth the extra dosh?
V brakes were a revelation when introduced on MTB's and a well sorted V brake is still sufficient for most applications. V's are generally quite a few grams lighter for the weight weenies and combined with various available pad compounds (check out Kool stop) improve them for less than ideal conditi...
