Change your tyre at 3500 miles and you're maybe throwing away £40 of tread.Take a bike in at 5000 miles instead of just taking in a loose wheel will probably add about £15 to the price.For the sake of £25 I would be wanting to start my hols with a nice new tyre and not be worrying about it or faffi...

the Frejus area in the Sth of France or had experience of getting tyres changed on the Cote D'zur? I am off down there mid May mooching about with a bit of Corsica thrown in and I have around 3500 miles on my OME tyres and so dont't want to change before I go but might want to when I have about 5000...
