Re: Dashboard Upgrade
I have a 955i Tiger and also suffer with poor illumination to the dash,i have replaced the standard bulbs in the idiot lights with led's and plan to do the same with the backlights to the clocks which i think will make a difference. I was just about to suggest the same thing , white LEDs with a bui...

Re: Tie down straps
The set I have came from Lidl and do fine. But I do think ratchets are essential, knots can slacken or come undone. I'll have a look at Lidl, thanks Lidl ' bargains' come and go , most items are in twice a year, so if you just turn up you have a 1 in 25 chance of ratchet straps being in stock. One ...

Apparently no one knows what to do with these sheds, they have been condemned as unsafe so no one can go indoors , but you dismantle a tin shed from the outside , for heavens ...

Re: Beggars belief
To get some insight into what is slowly happening in this country you could do worse than treat yourself to a night out and go and see Ken Loaches latest film 'I Daniel Blake'. We are slowly creeping back to Victorian times . People are being called into the dole for a meeting, and then getting thei...

Re: Remote garage heater
By no means a chemist , but....... both paraffin and gas are hydrocarbon fuels , so they contain hydrogen . When you burn hydrogen the result is water vapour , just what you don't want if you are storing motorbikes. The only way to do it is to have a heater that vents the fumes outside the building ...

Re: Social Media is the cause !
Well on the ten o'clock news they did make a mention of the 'network of legal routes called byeways' as well as the scaremongering about illegal use. We all know that there is a world of difference between Greenlaning and a load of nutters on ripped off mto crossers, but to the average rambler we lo...

Re: How do you fit yours - Tool Tubes
Theres a bloke called KITPED selling very similar tubes in the "for sale" section of the forum for about half of the price of the ones mentioned here. No connection, other than as a satisfied customer.

Re: Offends me, deeply
I can't help noting that the rear number plate is about 5^ off being horizontal, number plates are ideally vertical , but some leeway is obviously given as long as the plate is legible, this one definitely isn't . I know there are less traffic police around than there were, but I can imagine the new...

Re: Bash plate hassles
Make a mock up in cardboard and then make it out of maybe 3-4mm thick Alloy plate , I think you will find 6mm extremely difficult to bend, once its roughed out take it somewhere and get it tig welded up. Mine is held on with 4 6mm bolts onto brackets on the frame, but p brackets will probably work O...
