Re:Oh, what a shock
My answer? I just bought the best two up touring bike made to date! The mighty Varadero! I agree with the Tiger complaint, I found mine brilliant one up but two up, even with the shock preload full up and the damping screwd up, it was like a bouncy castle! The Varadero's Showa suspension is leaps an...

Re:Spy shots of the new Triumph adventure bike
I ran a 955i Tiger for a couple of yrs, did the Stella with it twice, a cracking bike, sound to die for and handling was sweet! I would have replaced it with the 1050 if it wasn't so road biased and expensive! I reckoned the 1050 was a glorified Bandit on stilts and straying so far from the adventur...

Oh, by the way, I've done the Stella four times now, brilliant fun! If you're camping at Bokki camping say hello to Bob, he'll be there with his daughter on a KTM!

Re:Scotoilers....what's the deal?
Hi Alun, the Tiger was brutal on chains, or was it my continual wheelying the thing? LOL!
I put 28K miles on the Tiger and was on my third chain, but the last one lasted a lot longer and I put that down to the Scotoiler.

Re:'Adventure'...what's yours?
An adventure is a trip or journey that is memorable. I travel quite a bit through work but don't always consider travelling to work as an adventure, but I have been sent to the Scottish western Isles a few times this year and that is an adventure! Adventures usually involve something special, be it ...

Re:Scotoilers....what's the deal?
Hi Alun, I've a touring Scotoiler on my Varadero, I've had a Scotoiler on three other bikes over the years and can't praise them enough. I'm just back from a trip from NE Scotland to the Rheine valley and back, filled the Scotoiler before I left and I topped it up when I got home, chain still like n...

Re:Fantasy Adventure Bike
A replacement for my Varadero from Honda! Honda are leaps and bounds behind most other bike manufacturers on the adventure bike scene. The biggest mistake made since KTM refused Ewan and Charlie their bikes was Honda not replacing the Africa twin! Come on Honda, amaze me,,,, before something else ca...

Re:The must have accessory
First must have for an adventure bike has to be crash bars! I'll confess to having dropped a few over the years and have been grateful for crashbars on a couple of occasions!
