Re: my bike with ..... a ..BENCH
Many thanks for the highly considered appraisal of my photo and you can’t believe the pride I have in getting into positive figures. However......I am concerned that it seemed to take you most of the day to get just bread and milk and that you have sufficient time to spend on such deep thinking and ...

Re: my bike with ..... a ..BENCH
6 weeks holiday in New Zealand etc contributes to non riding but that negates sympathy. Also winter apathy comes with old age. Actually nearer 9 or 10 weeks if that helps. Trail riding tomorrow though. Illegal plates may never have been on a vehicle as they are ‘show’ plates, as everyone knows ;) Th...

Re: Husqvarna 701
I’ve put Mitas E07’s on the 690 but left it as original otherwise and it’s great fun on the back roads but still looks ‘off road’ like and would be fine on easier lanes. Wouldn’t fancy mud and roots or rocks though. It’s great for 50 to 100 mile or so rides, which is all I need now. Front brake need...

Re: Husqvarna 701
Is the stand steel or ally? My 450 is ally so more difficult to lower although I think there is a way but 40mm would be too much because of the taper. The 450 sits almost upright, which is fine if your parking on a beach but elsewhere it’s scary leaving it. As standard, 5 to 10mm would be enough but...

Re: my bike with ..... a ..BENCH
Anyway, that’s two benches so fails the requirements of the topic.
Re: F1 Yawn
I hate street circuits in any of the formulae (particularly Formula E and World Touring Cars). The irony of E is having to build and use two cars in a race as the batteries aren’t good enough but I think that is going to one car imminently. The lack of sound is a bit naff as well. ITV4. British Tour...

Re: UK Biking is dying out.
Plenty of riders of all ages out today and on all sorts of bikes. Part of the attraction of retro bikes is that they look like bikes, not a plumbers bad dream. Most modern bikes look absolutely awful....where did simplicity and purity of line go? My wife likes bikes you can see daylight through and ...
