Re: Explain this to Your Insurer!

As a teen I had a racer with cowhorns that my dad's mate had 'welded' on for me. I pulled a wheelie and the fucking things snapped off at the stem. The front wheel came down and I duly landed my chest straight on to the jagged edge of the stem where it had broke, I then proceeded to career i...

Re: A photo you took, today

No biking this weekend, I've had a bus mans holiday instead. http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu194/jelly11666/ea918c778372a89c3dca5530de87ea43_zps0fe2261e.jpg http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu194/jelly11666/6548177e5fd8a505441806a69082a6ea_zps1da309b5.jpg http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu...

Re: Philosophy Corner - Why Do Adventure Bikes Have To Be Fast?

There's plenty of people who don't want to ride fast, don't need the power, don't mind if their bike isn't the twitchy, spindly off road beast that a trail bike can be. They want a comfortable seat, a screen to stop the buffeting, good fuel economy so they have some spends at the end of the day. Th...

Re: Are you fed up with having to remove ignition keys to get into a topbox/pannier?

Nice work but what annoys me me more is those warning stickers on your tank about blah blah whatever. They come straight off any of my bikes. Don't you think they're ugly? Er, I suppose your right but I find them quite novel, being my first new bike and all that. I've never had em on any other bike...

Re: Honda NC750X DCT

I'm on 4500 miles now and I totally agree with everything you've said.

I think these new Honda DCT gearboxes are like marmite, you either love em or hate em.

Just like yourself, I love mine. (thumbs)

Re: make your own pannier racks?

My expertise lays in bricks and mortar, not metals or fabricating etc but......

What about tent poles that slip together with a couple of self tapping screws or a nut and bolt right through the joints?

Light, strong and no need for a welder.

Just a thought.

Re: Are you fed up with having to remove ignition keys to get into a topbox/pannier?

Nice work (thumbs) Silly question, couldn't you just leave the new key as it is in there rather than cut the top off and glue a knob on? No, it would be in the way of my sat nav, besides, it wouldn't look nice and neat. http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu194/jelly11666/3e332cb6498b0377eca25e9740b...

Are you fed up with having to remove ignition keys to get into a topbox/pannier?

I don't think this has been done on here before On my NCX I have a storage compartment in place of the tank and it aggravates me have to use the ignition key each time I want to get into it. Anyway, I've nicked this idea from the NCX forum but thought it would work just as well on some other hard lu...
