Thanks all for all the useful information. In response to stevew, I came by the name yamahafjr1300! because when I came to trade in my fazer6 that is what I was going to get. Until I saw the fazer8 at 6k otr, and decided this would give me the added power for weekend rides with my now 12yr old son o...

I have noticed that the speedo on the fazer soon gets up there. I only commute on the fazer occasionally (only 5 miles), as I tend to cycle a lot.

I really hope the lady in question gets this bike back, and the culprits get there just desserts. THIEVING SCUM BAGS!!!

I do fancy more of an adventure bike. I think the economy cost and the buying of a v strom is acceptable as I have seen pre registered bikes on e-bay for around £5500ish ok, as I would not have to put to much money in if traded the fazer also. But am in no rush to buy so would consider other options...

commuting and weekend ride outs (you tube reviews really rate this bike!)

I have seen this bike myself but am put off by the exhaust bandage!! I tend to steer clear of bikes that have started to develop electrical issues also!. This time of year I would try a cheeky offer of 2k, and work from there.
