Re: 125 touring video, part 2

Fantastic journey -- now that's adventure biking. You're a brave man to head for the west of Scotland in October. Last time I was up there was in June a couple of years ago and the forecast threatened snow above 900 feet! Howling gale, lashing rain and max temperature one day was 7 degrees! In June!

Re: The mighty GS humbled.

When I did a tour in the USA a few years ago (on a rented Harley), all Harley riders nodded or waved as they went by. I even had quite a few stop to check if all was OK when I stopped on the side of the road to take photos. But not a single acknowledgement from any BMW rider in 2 weeks riding. And a...

Re: I want to get really, really dirty . . .

Did you have to get landowners' permission to ride those tracks? I have been told that there is no equivalent of the English 'green lane' in Scotland. All the Forestry Commission tracks round here (Borders) are closed to 'unauthorised motor vehicles', and I'm not sure about using farm roads. Any adv...

Re: Posting a Book review

I had the same problem when I tried to post a review when I was not signed in. Tried again after signing in and it worked fine this time -- but the way my "star ratings" show up is odd. I rated one book an 8-star, but this shows up as a 4-star rating on the main reviews page. Anche io much...

Re: Post a review and win a Buff

Hi Alun,

I've posted a couple of book reviews in the past couple of days, but neither of them appear on the site -- does that mean they were too crap to put up?
