Re: No engine but two wheels and big balls......

I've been mountain biking since the very early '90s and look at what these guys can do with utter disbelief. I'd struggle to ride bits of that course at a 10th that speed… in the dry !!! No way if it was even slightly damp. That sequence through the trees is like a river and those rocks and roots wo...

Re: Waterproof patches

pop into an outdoor shop that sells a lot of tents and see if they've got a flysheet repair kit – usually these are stuck on with a special glue and tend to be fairly heavy duty.

Or gaffer tape :-)

hard to imagine you couldn't see where you were going with all those lights on the front :-)

Love these old scooters – coming to biking later than many on here, it's a stage that past me by. Never would have believed it was 50 years old, til I saw it was wearing a tax disc from 1961.

Re: Yamaha World Crosser Concept on sale next March

Didn't realise you could pick 'em up for around £10K Zookman – I agree that's a fantastic price. Makes the year-old used example in my local yam dealer look rather overpriced at £9,500.

Re: Yamaha World Crosser Concept on sale next March

Missed opportunity – if Yam has too much stock to sell perhaps they should reduce the price further. I'm not doubting the Super Ten is a great bike and the brief ride I had on one almost had me chopping in the 660Z for it, but it's still overpriced in a highly competitive sector of the market. Yamah...

Re: New issue in the shops - why my copy not arrived?

This time of year I think it's only fair to blame the Royal Snail for late delivery of our mags – ordered a couple of books off amazon for work last friday. Dispatched by amazon on monday, recieved today (never had to wait that long). A couple of ebay purchases have still not arrived a week later ev...

Re: DVD.. 'Riding the road to Casablanca', by 'The first in the budget adventure series...

They aren't really 'adventure' trips like LWR or The Ride – just a group of guys who fancied a road trip on a tight budget. I picked up the double-trip DVD from Halfords about a year back (made by Duke), and have watched both quite a few times and enjoyed them. Quite fancy following their Transylvan...

Re: garmin zumo ????

Ted's solution is the best bet – I did this with my old Zumo 500 (which came preinstalled with UK only from 2005). Big SD card with the Europe content loaded on seems to work just as well. Only problem is the card I got didn't leave much room for my mp3 files (get bored after listening to the same 1...
