Spot is only 1 way communication and not 100% coverage unlike the inreach, mine costs 13 dollars a month with 10 free sms, they connect via Bluetooth to your phone and then you text as normal so nights away with no signal at least you can keep in touch with home plus if there is any emergencies then...
