Re: Newbie From Scotland Ready To Take On The World - On A 125 :)
Brads: Am down there often for a walk though normally in summer, tis good practise navigating a path through all the holes on the road into it! Sloth: Thanks for the info, though its probably a bit beyond me to make a good job of it - as I'm not sure how bad it is under the tape. It has just took me...

A couple of pictures of the bike taken today, took it for a little spin locally. http://i41.tinypic.com/2tro1.jpg http://i43.tinypic.com/2ldke1g.jpg As said it has a few cosmetic issues which were reflected in the price paid. It needs a new front mudguard and has a couple of scrapes and some surface...

Re: Tent, Bag, Mat - Right Choices?
Use a sleep bag liner (silk is best - for warmth and pack size) but fleece ones are also good. This will add a season to your sleeping bag. With a tent and a decent mat, you'll be fine. If need be, sleep in your thermals, hat and socks and gloves for added protection. I like this idea of a smaller ...

Re: Tent, Bag, Mat - Right Choices?
just checked them exped mats out i wouldn't like to be messing about everyday pumping them up i prefer thermarest prolite plus I think you might be referring to the older model that has the integrated pump that you have to spend 10 mins or so on. The new UL version comes with a bag pump - 3 fills a...

Re: Tent, Bag, Mat - Right Choices?
Thanks to everyone so far (thumbs) - I hear you all on the snugpak, it's way too heavy for me at 2kg. I get cold pretty easy so wanted to get a decent rated bag/mat that would do for most seasons and for long periods. Happy to listen to any recommendations on a lighter bag that is similar in rating ...

Tent, Bag, Mat - Right Choices?
Hi everyone, I thought it might be wiser to purchase my camping equipment in winter as there seems to be a few bargains to be had out of season. Here is what I have chosen for now which includes the best price I could find including postage. I would appreciate any input from those that have used any...

Thanks Freeloadeur - Maybe see you thereFreeloadeur wrote:Celia, I'd hugely recommend the HUBB, last year was my first time and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute despite not going to half the presentations I'd planned to. Just sitting chatting by my tent was fascinating enough.
And we need more 125's there.

Hi Brenhden - will get some pics as soon as, hoping for the frost to go away so I can get it out and give it a spin today :) Hi Elle :) - Was hoping for 2015, but will be able to plan that better later in the year once I have done all my research. For 2014 though I want to have my DAS or A2 by sprin...
