Re: What non open faced helmet has the biggest field of vision?

Ahh, thats what part fo the field of vision you need, most relate to sides rather than chin. A Jet helmet like the C1 is def what you need. More and more flip helmets are using oversized chin bars to compensate for a cheap helmet design and you are also right that they are designed for headdown-eyes...

Re: honda nc 700x check it out

Ya wee fecker...you got me tempted now too. Tried the Runner...didnt like the positioning, to much VFR sports and not enough Alp-like. The comparison thing is always unrealistic. I heard so much crap about the 700Alp before I bought it, I compared ti directly with a 650 and was sold on the first rid...

Re: What does everyone think of the Transalp 700

Re: iphones on handlebars ?!?

ayy bugger! Slightly OT: Just bought a new Ultimate Addons case as the zips on my old material one let go on both sides, so I thought the solid WP one would be better. Works great, liking the external WP buttons which make it easier to use with gloves on etc, internal rubber damping is good too. Pro...

iphones on handlebars ?!?

i love my i-phone [CAMERA mobile app is great for finding a nice pub when out and about in unfamiliar neck of the woods] but remember for the mapping function to work you need a data signal and for the map to refresh efficiently a 3G signal at that. personally i would stick with a gps with mapping ...

iphones on handlebars ?!?

I got an ultimate addons too. Spot on for occasional use if your referring to removing the case after every use. I leave the case on and unzip it to remove the phone. Secure enough QR case and mount. Doesn't sit solidly mounted but I've never been bothered about the slight movement it naturally has....

THROTTLE MATE Cuise control

Wow. What a simple piece of kit yet so effective. Love it! Just done A11/A14 from Norfolk to Cambs and it makes such a difference. For me it's about pacing and a resting position. Set the pace and concentrate of keeping it. Sit up and rest the shoulders/arms with grip totally relaxed. It does take p...

How about these for size?

Price is right, adjustable calf too, well the boot closes by velcro before the binding does its job and the bindings adjustable.

Re: Off to Ireland for 10 days in June, suggestions on routes and places to see and things to do

On a serious note: If heading north first...Dublin to Navan on the old road R147, Kells, Ardee, Carrickmacross, Castleblaney, Newtownhamilton and Newry. Stop. Then Warrenpoint and along the coast to Downpatrick. Thad be a good day out. From DPatrick, on the ferry at Strangford to Portaferry nice and...
