How do you deal with gusting cross wind?
Riding home last night I was getting battered by strong gusts of wind, probably to about 40 mph. Constant wind speed was about 25 mph. The gusts were pushing me off course by maybe half a metre to a metre. Not so bad on a well-surfaced road, but would have been a problem on a loose surface. How do y...

Re: cardo customer service not
This is a real contrast to the experience I had with them. My Scala Rider unit started cutting out intermittently after a particularly torrential downpour in the south of France. I contacted Cardo, and despite the fact that I hadn't registered the unit for warrantly (it was a gift, bought in Italy),...

Re: anyone on here know a good insurer in the Netherlands?
I finally got around to bringing the bike here and getting it registered on a Dutch plate. I checked the various suggestions, but in the end went with BMW Motorrad's own insurance (actually, it's Allianz). About the same price as other options, but seems to offer more in the way of service, especial...

Re: Insurance
I used to insure through Bennets, but last time I wanted to renew they refused on the basis that I had too many "modifications" -- things like crash bars (factory fitted), luggage (factory fitted), centre stand (factory fitted), oh, and a bash plate. I switched to BMW's own insurance -- ch...

Re: France bans the use of headsets.
A tad confusing , the only way to hear my sat-nav is through my headset ! I do find it is better for my partner to be able to talk to me through our intercom ( useally to tell me to slow down lol ) Surely it is safer to listen to satnav directions than to have to take one's eyes off the road to loo...
