Re: Adv bikes, what they could come equip't with.
I can't see too many overlanders benefiting from any of those additions. Less is always more. Winch, second battery, maybe for crossing the Darien, but for pretty much every other overland journey no use at all. How can you make a statement like that? You are obviously using your own experiences to...

Re: So....the 1090 Adventure then....
Interesting about the price. I was hoping it was going to be less, and compared to the Africa Twin seems a bit pricey, but then I hear the Honda is going up in price by around £300-400 for 2017 and the Honda is quite basic as standard. By the looks of it a centre stand comes as standard on the 1090,...

Re: warranty R1200GSA 2013
Yes, and what a dealer will put through as warranty work is often at their discretion. Nothing seems black and white when it comes to warranties. Goodwill gestures are just that, and I gather BMW aren't loathe to use them if you're on good terms with the dealer. They fitted new pads and rear disc to...

Re: warranty R1200GSA 2013
When I've talked to them about that very point they've been far more vague. Again, down to the relationship you have with the dealer I think, though perhaps best not to chance it. To me it makes some sense to have the bike serviced with the people who will initiate and conduct the warranty work anyw...

Re: warranty R1200GSA 2013
I took out extended warranty on my LC GS, about £28 a month. Just had new headers, cables and motor due to the exhaust flap sticking. It was about a £1800 bill that cost me the £100 excess. I know you could have fixed it cheaper if it wasn't under warranty, but for me it's already paid for itself f...

Resurgence Voyager jeans if you want fully lined jeans that actually look like regular jeans.
