Re: Haynes

I won't worry too much about the shares, but what will it mean for the manuals? I bought my first Haynes manual back in the very early 70's (for my Ford 100E Pop), and have bought them ever since. I reckon they went downhill once poor photographs replaced the excellent clear line and exploded drawin...

Re: Wales

Re: ABR TomTom Brecon Beacons Discovery Route files

Thank you...
and whilst we're on the subject, where, please, are the downloadable route files for the trips in the "TomTom-Guide-to-Motorcycling-in-Britain" you recently highlighted?

Re: Electric Bikes... the Future?

Thank, Catcitrus...."hotbulb" engines are "surface ignition" or semi-diesel types. They'll run on almost anything that'll burn..... brandy to old engine oil, but are very inefficient and very "mucky". Look for Lanz Bulldog on YouTube! Fun, but not really an answer to th...

Re: Electric Bikes... the Future?

But where does the hydrogen come from ?...... current favourite seems to be electrolysis of water, which requires lots of electricity, which takes us back to where we started!

Re: Marvelous bit of unbiased reporting

If there's so much damage to the tracks, why is the one used to illustrate the article actually gravel surfaced and well-graded ? In better condition/far smoother than many suburban tarmac roads!
