Re: Aggro Topics

I'm thinking of getting a couple of 'Tesco Direct' stickers for my panniers. Every time I go out for less than a 2week trip the Misses hands me a bloody shopping list, followed by the phrase " I don't mind you going out on your bike when the hoovering needs doing, as long as you can pop into Tescos ...

Re: what have you done to your the bike today??

Nothing but thinking about it, shut up in my garage a thousand miles away plugged into the optimate while I read this bloody website and feeling homesick. Well, bike sick. It's actually quite nice down here in Southern Spain at the moment. Just don't tell me the sun's shinning and the roads are dry ...

Re: There's another parcel for you!!??

Having struggled to explain the new Explorer turning up, I think I'll have to make do with my old kit for at least a couple more years. Doesn't stop me looking at the websites when she's not around though.

Re: USA Trip, Buy or rent or ship xt660r?

Had the same dilemma a few years back. Weighed up all the options and opted for Eaglerider as I too was taking the Mrs. For comfort we rented an Electra Glide from Las Vegas. Headed across Death Valley, Tioga Pass, Yosemite, San Fran, Pacific Coast HW down to LA the back to Vegas via the best bit of...

Re: If It Ain't A Harley...

Had a 2003 Electra Glide from new and in the 11 years I had it, it never let me down once. Took me all over Europe many times and I even rented one in the States for a couple of weeks. I rode in all conditions, from snow in the Alps to 125F in Death Valley, but all the time I looked damn cool and co...

Corsica

Off to Corsica this September with 2 mates for 4 or 5 days. Anyone got any tips about reasonably priced accommodation on the island, towns to stay, or avoid, and must ride roads?

Re: Advice for slow ride through Spain......

Hi Dave, done that ride and back a couple of times in the last 10 years, but not quite that early in the year. The Picos mountains are a must if the weather's good, but late March could be wet and icy. Salamanca is a must to spend a night. Plenty of affordable accommodation. Head into the square for...
