I did that, but your quote is greyed out where as mine's not. Obviously doing something wrong here, but there again I am a bit of a dinosaur.

I concur with the colour thing (with a U), especially when that colour is white, but also every other change in the road / track surface that I find myself riding on. Probably being over cautious most of the time, but my risk taking days are well behind me.

I think it's safe to say, 'the adventure bike scene' has always been around. Just look at some of the stories dating back to the beginning of the last century.
