Elle.. Ive had Garmins for over 6 years and they have always been good at customer problem solving..just get what you need to do the job, I`ll be sticking with my Etrex20..served me well all over Europe on the non tarmac stuff (thumbs) .. The overlay facility for 3D maps is great for hilly terrain ....

Well my opinion..as its from "down under" and they have huge distances to cover on the Fire tracks the "ktm660" replica would be fine in my books.. Absolutely useless on the uk trails..too much overgrown..rutted tracks,and as for the cost their money their choice..the big fuel tank and fairing alone...

what wont move?... most whitepower stuff is same..remove brake caliper..loosen lower clamp bolts..then remove the nut and unwind axel.. you did grease the axel last time it was out didnt you?.. As for battery just clean up apply acf50 spray to remove corrosion..then recharge..acf50 corrosion block g...

well ..all depends on what you want to do...ccm has the same engine and carb..far better suspension and brakes..gearing is personnel choice.. BUT the wiring is quirky but fixable easily,rear sub frame is weak for luggage but fixable,sucks up water through airbox..but Fixable..get the idea everything...

Ah ha ;) .. As your getting on a bit even though far stronger in the upper body than most due to kayaking..you probably dont need anything special.. A drz400 s with a bigger tank should be fine ..plenty of aftermarket luggage stuff around and electric start..yes fuel economy wont be up with the mode...

hell man..thats like a lot of weight on a punny engined bike...me and the wife weight what you do alone..and most 125cc bikes we`ve hired struggled up slight hills with us both on... stick with the Honda you already have..as its fuel efficient and can cary you and your luggage well.. why the move to...

Cheers all.. Dont take many pics as the cameras always break or get drowned...sorry but no pics of the mighty CBX well only negatives as it was back in the golden years of the 80`s :laugh: .. Had something similar once...threw them in the hedge..like riding with flippers instead of hands..

Gortex mountain equipment is good option..but has no "sliding down the road" protection
