Re: Yamaha T7 review

The engine is the right size for a "do it all"--and Yamaha seem pretty good on pricing at the moment. However, it will never be a good trail bike if the trails are as Wales etc (unless you are young, over 6ft and called Knight)--but fine for open fire roads etc. To reinforce a previous com...

Re: Transylvania or bust

If your return leg involves Slovenia......a really nice country to pass through.....If you like spectacular caves, there's a great cave system at Postojna in the South West of the country. There's a little open carriage underground train that takes you through it, then you walk the rest of it. Well...

Re: Tell me about Tarps...

Robens--ripstop with plenty of anchoring points. Also buy a couple of packs of those short bungy loops with a plastic ball attached(the type used for securing tarps/covers on trailers etc)--cheap as chips on fleabay--then use these bungies on both sides and attach the guys to these. This way you hav...

Re: Honda X-ADV

Its going a bit off topic to actual scoots--remember that this is chain drive, has a rising rate rear suspension, centre stand, upside down forks etc--underneath the "skin" its very like a cross tourer, or Africa twin, with DCT--not at all like a belt drive scoot in construction.

Re: Honda X-ADV

Thanks for the informed replies--I knew it would happen. It has a quoted top speed of 112 mph, over 60 mpg and its a 750!--based on half a car engine that is actually efficient-- being undersquare and not revving much above 6k--its all talk (torque!)--you can get a termignoni silencer for it...

Honda X-ADV

has anyone had a test ride on the Honda X-ADV--750 "crossover"--is it a scoot--or a bike? Personally I like the concept for general use and touring. Its a bit pricey, but seems to tick a lot of boxes.
