Re: CCM GP 450......was it any good?

Me and the wife both test rode the CCM - we were looking for a bike she could commute on and that I could get dirty on ideally. It seemed to fit the bill, but neither of us liked it. The factory team were nice enough, but as they even admitted themselves, it was essentially a pocket money job to kee...

Advice on 2008 R1200GSA Brake Discs ?

So, my 2008 R1200 GSA is at 45,000 miles.
The discs are pitted, scored and lipping.... its time to change them out :silly:
BMW (Williams) are asking for almost £700 inc bobbins etc
Am looking at Brembo's from Motorworks probably...
Anyone got any other recommendations though?

Re: Who earns 80 grand?

I don't disagree mate - I just don't see how slowing the economy down by taxing it to death will help. Privatised Companies do make a profit - they must - and that takes some 'value' out of the money you have spent with them. But a lot of those companies do really good jobs - and take out less value...

Re: Who earns 80 grand?

Are they still teaching Maslows? :pinch: Blimey! He was a funny one Maslow, very one dimensional, he liked lists, never really studied or proved any of his theory, (it just seemed to make sense at the time) and nobody ever reached the peak of the pyramid. Nobody ever self actualised - did they? He d...

Re: EU. In or out?

Except they haven't brought Fox hunting Back - they're giving MP's a free debate on it - and with any luck they'll ban it forever, in full. School Dinners - well, my kids get free school dinners (they're entitled through some local policy, although we don't need them, and they actually have a packed...

Reintroduce National Service!!  For what?? :silly: I hate this old myth that a bit of 'Square Bashing' would sort out the yoof of Today. Utter Nonsense. What the hell would the Army do with a quarter of a million bored teenagers? There no empire to send them too - perhaps we could send th...

Excellent - Love getting the Norf Sea Ferries! We used to catch the ferries last minute, for pennies, as teens, living in 'Hull, and bugger off to Amsterdam for the weekend  A few years ago, me and my old man went to the World Cup in Germany, and the ferry was FULL of Engerland fans - it wa...

I don't know... i always felt responsible for getting myself off the bottom ladder... (& I have most definitely been there)
Perhaps we should vote Communist, and everyone earn thesame amount, have identical apartments and fibreglass cars, and all work together on a big farm...

Re: Helmet bag

Hahaha! Well, have fun mate - I've had a similair thing recently, enough kit for all of the following, in one long complicated trip on my GSA... Manchester to Aberdeen, night in hotel, fly offshore for 5 days, fly back to Aberdeen, 5 nights in hotel for a course, then 2 nights wild(ish) camping, the...
