Re: Trip to Morocco

I've not been all the way to Morocco, but I have been down to Faro in Portugal - 4 days each way, 3,500 miles total. I think that you are pushing it by scheduling only 4 days each way. It is possible but you'll be knackered and you'll be on the road all day for every one of those 4 days. Think about...

Re: Like sitting on the Khazi

I've got a mate who was riding a ZX-10R as his main bike last year with a Gilera 500cc twist-and-go scooter as his "get around" bike. A group of us went out for a run one Saturday and he was overtaking another ZX-10R round the outside of a corner! :pinch: All the other bikes were able to out-pace hi...

12V Adapter on Tiger 800 XC

I was wondering where abouts you can get an adapter for the standard sized "cigarette lighter" plugs to fit into the smaller 12V adapter that comes on the Tiger XC?

I must admit that I haven't had a look around for one yet, but I thought I'd try the lazy route first! :woohoo:

There are two members of the dark side... sorry, the force in my family (sister & her husband) but I'll still try to steer clear of them whenever I can!

Re: Helmet Choice

Looks very nice but I've always been wary of flip up lids - there's no way they are as strong in that crucial area. Totally agree - a hinge in the helmet is an engineered-in weak point and will be the first thing to go if someone was to land face-first on the road. This is the reason why I would no...

Re: Helmet Choice

My "safety" reasons for being against flip front helmets is down to the fact that when I had a crash (23 years ago) I landed on the chin bar of the Nolan (full face) helmet that I was wearing. Even though helmet design has come on in leaps and bounds, I still do not trust landing in that position ag...
